What are some highlights from your professional background?
My first position straight out of college was a buyer/planner for Applied Materials. After three and a half years there, I joined Cisco, where I held a number of different roles across multiple organizations, including Supply Chain, Product Operations, Acquisitions & Integrations, Customer Experience (Services). My journey with Cisco lasted nineteen years; at one point, I thought I would retire from there. Now here I am with Crowdz!
Why was Crowdz a match for you?
Working for a startup in the Bay Area is like a badge of honor. I thrive on the innovative and fast-paced environment, and when the CEO of the company reaches out to ask you to join the team, it’s hard to say no.
What’s your role?
I lead our Technical Development Team in India and oversee our Program Management Organizations.
What are some of the hats you wear (known or unknown)?
Solutions architect, biz/IT analyst, spec writer, teacher, mom, wife, daughter, sister, and part-time cook.
Why were you interested in working with Crowdz?
I believe in the vision and direction of the company. We are just getting started with the launch of our receivables financing platform. Being a part of Crowdz has exposed me to multiple aspects of the business, and it has really helped accelerate my career.
What is the future for Crowdz?
We are just getting started, lots of big things ahead.
What’s one fun fact we don’t know about you?
I really enjoy superhero, comic book-based movies. I have to watch all the box office releases opening weekend.
If you could choose anyone as your mentor, who would you pick?
No specific individual, but I admire professional working women who can juggle and do it all.
What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
During my college days, I worked at a furniture store where I greeted customers as they came in, and I had to write down descriptions of who they were and what they were wearing. I lasted all but two days.
If you could learn anything, what would it be?
Professionally, I would learn to code, and just for fun, I would learn to sail (I know this would make my husband happy).
What is the first concert you attended?
Air Supply while on a date in high school.
If you have 30-minutes of free time, how do you pass the time?
Nowadays, I would go for a walk or a run with my golden retriever, Saylor. She goes out and thinks everyone in the world loves her—and they do! I would also garden for some personal me-time.
