Passion attracts. Just ask Crowdz’s client services engineer Bay Odessa whose personal passions range from gaming, Neil Diamond, and rooting for the underdog.

What are some highlights from your professional background?

I managed a pet care company in New York. I loved the work, but our company took a significant hit during Covid.

Why was Crowdz a match for you?

I thrive on helping the underdog and underserved. I love the work, and I love getting to help people. The fast-paced environment and the multi-faceted projects are right up my alley.

What is your role?

I am the client services engineer. I take care of all client accounts, inside and out, and I help create the experience and product to best match the clients’ needs.

What are some of the hats you wear (known or unknown)?

Mostly beanies:) Outside of work, I am an avid gamer. I love the art of it and the depths of the worlds. I am also certified in a few types of therapy for special needs children, which is my passion.

Why were you interested in working with Crowdz?

Passion is an important part of my life and career. I want to work beside people who are as passionate about the product as I am, and there are amazing people at Crowdz embroiled in this beautiful passion twenty-four hours a day. It is not something that they walk away from or lose vision on—these traits piqued my interest from the beginning.

What makes Crowdz unique?

Our ability to envision the future. But mostly Brandon.*

What is the future for Crowdz?

We are on a roller coaster that is going nowhere but up.

What is one fun fact we do not know about you?

I am a massive fan of “Big Brother” and would compete in that game.

If you could choose anyone as your mentor, who would you pick?

Hideo Kojima. This man completely changed pace in life at the peak of his career and recreated his present and future from nearly nothing. He is an inspiration, and I would love to learn how he overcame his challenges. He is wonderful at every facet of what he does, from the details put into place years before his creations to his incredible marketing antics. His mind is this delve of pure creation and thought that I would love to soak up.

What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?

I used to do data input for Alexa services. The voice clips that I would listen to all day were very odd and not something easily forgettable.

If you could learn anything, what would it be?

I would love to be able to play the piano.

What was the first concert you attended?

I cannot remember the first, but some of my favorite in-person concerts have been KISS, and I have seen Neil Diamond every time he has been in my state.

If you have 30-minutes of free time, how do you pass the time?

I read or find a podcast and clean. Cleaning is therapeutic to me, so I often clean things that are already clean.
